It’s no secret to most people that I love storms. I would be thrilled if it rained everyday. This spring has not made me very happy though. We have had one rain storm so far this year and it was more of a quick drizzle. Today, I though for sure we would be getting some. It did sprinkle a little bit, but the big cloud that was hanging around over my house tonight isn’t cooperating. I had my son take a picture of it so I could post it on my blog. It really was cool! Maybe tomorrow, we will get some rain?!?!

Have you ever been on a vacation where everything that could go wrong went wrong? It happens a lot more than you think! It even happened to me during my family vacation last year. We went to Disney World which I was very excited about since I had not been there since I was very young. I really wanted to go to the new Animal Kingdom park since it was not open when we were there last. I have heard some great things about the dinosaur attraction! Our vacation got off to a rocky start unfortunately, to begin with our flight was delayed 6 hours because of a blizzard across the country that was backing up all of the airlines. Luckily our flight wasn’t canceled and we eventually made it to our destination. Once we got off the plane we had to go and get our rental car, this didn’t take long at all. The next hiccup in our trip was a small car accident, we were rear ended! There wasn’t much damage but we still had to wait for the police and go through all the insurance stuff. We got to the hotel and it was fantastic, the best part was it had 5 different pools, even a lazy river which is my favorite. The pool area had a pirate theme to it with water canons and slides. On the last day at the hotel my sister fell and chipped her tooth while playing near the pool. Trying to find a dentist while you are away on vacation is incredible difficult and it was a good thing that we had travelers insurance. My mother has always been big on insuring our trips every year even though nothing has ever happened. Most of the time before booking anything she will compare travel insurance with MoneySupermarket. It is impossible to predict what will happen in the future and there are many companies that will help to protect you from unforeseen circumstances that can arise when you are traveling.

My daughter recently turned 16 and she will be a junior in high school next year. It is that time in her life where she is starting to think about what she wants to do as her career. With that comes the thoughts about what college she will attend to enable her to enter into whatever field she chooses. My job is to make sure she is able to attend that college of her choice. We have been talking to her a lot about scholarships. I recently came across a neat website. It is at www.scholarshipsonline.org.
This website is a National Online Database of Scholarships and Education Grants. You can search for scholarships by category, deadline or by name. This makes your search for scholarships so much easier then ever before. It takes the guess work out of it!
If you or your child are looking for scholarships to further your education, this website is one you definitely need to check out!

The last couple of years, I have been invited to a Halloween party and without fail, I wait until the last minute to get my costume. What can I say…I’m a procrastinator! I usually end up wearing one that I have worn in past years because I can’t find anything in my size or what is my size ends up not being what I would want to wear. I came across a great website called HalloweenMart that sells Halloween Costumes that I want to share with you! They have a huge selection of kids, couples and adult costumes to choose from and their prices are great!! They also have a huge selection of accessories and decorations too! Do your pets like to go trick or treating too? HalloweenMart can help get them dressed up too!
Another great thing about HalloweenMart is that they have costumes for every occasion and some you may not think of! They have costumes for The 4th of July, Easter, Thanksgiving and even Cinco de Mayo!
They have it all!! You have to check it out! Don’t end up wearing last years old, outdated costumes! Check out HalloweenMart for all your “dressing up” needs!

How many parents can say that they get excited for summer break? Anyone…Anyone?!?! I think that most parents dread summer break because they have to pay daycare, they worry about their kids getting in trouble, or they just plain struggle with the fact that their kids are growing up so darn fast! Me, on the other hand…I love summer break!
My kids are NOT morning people! For me, the school year is more stressful. Every morning, I wake up and immediately go to my kids’ rooms to wake them up. I don’t get smiles and sunshine from them, I get kicking and screaming. They say they are awake, but then they immediately fall back to sleep, which in turn, pretty much guarantees that I will be getting a call from the school saying they were late to their first class.
Am I excited for school to be over? YES!!! I am counting down the days! Am I sad they are growing up so fast? ABSOLUTLY, but our lives go much smoother when they don’t have to get up early! There are 25 days left (including the weekends) Then I will have 3 months of happy kids!
Can’t wait!

We all know how important it is to have a health insurance plan. The cost of medical bills are outrageous and can be nearly impossible to pay on your own. If you are the owner of a small business and have 2 or more employees, your business is eligible to provide your employees with group health insurance.
Now that you know you are eligible, you need to get quotes. Getting group health quotes is quick and easy and you will be able to get several all in one place. This ensures that you are getting the coverages your employees want and need at the best possible price. To get started, simply insert your zip code in the space provided and you will be on your way to helping your employees and their families stay healthy at a price they can afford.
Employees want to know that they have great health insurance at an affordable price. Make that a realty for them! Don’t wait another day. Get your group insurance going today! Your employees health is too important.

About 7 years ago, I was working in a hotel as an administrative assistant. I remember one specific job that was assigned to me that I thought I would never be able to accomplish. I was asked to retype a contract in Spanish. When my boss asked me to do this, I know I must have had the “deer in the headlights” look on my face!! I have never taken Spanish in my life. Sure, I could search the internet for a site that would translate for me but I would probably have to type all of the words in there and then who knows if the translation is accurate or not!
What I needed was a translation agency and I wish that I would have heard of Rosetta Translation Services at that time. Rosetta specializes in translating a variety of documents from legal documents to medical documents. Their prices are competitive and they always offer quality work. I did end up using the internet and I completed the project, however, I was later told that there were several mistakes in the translations. If you ever find your self in need of a translation service, be sure to check out Rosetta Translations Services. You won’t be sorry!

My daughter has a set morning routine. She gets up at 5:30 a.m. and gets in the shower. She is in there for at least 25 minutes. (if not more) Then she goes into her room and begins getting ready for school. First makeup, then hair. She brushes her teeth and then begins the task of picking out her clothes. She is “usually” ready by 7:35…after some pushing from me. My son also has a routine in the morning. It consists of getting up at around 7:00 a.m. and getting in the shower and brushing his teeth. He picks out his clothes and that is it! He is usually ready to go by 7:30.
This morning, as we were loading up the car to make the 5 minute drive to the school, my son realized that he forgot his bag with his basketball clothes in it. He said “I’ll be right back” and went back into the house. My daughter sighed loudly and said “Oh my gosh…he is SO SLOW”
I couldn’t help but do a little math in my head! Hmmm…she has been up for 2 hours and he has been up for 30 minutes. Who is slow???

My daughter recently got a job in a restaurant as a hotess. She has been working quite a bit. (staying within the legal amount of hours for her age) One Saturday afternoon, she called me and said she was working a double that day. She wanted me to pick her up and take her to get something to eat before she had to start her second shift. We went to Wendy’s and sat in the car while we ate. She was telling me how hard she had been working and told me that I had no idea how bad her feet were hurting. I said “Oh yes, I know. I have worked long shifts on my feet as well” She turned and looked at me and said “There is no way your feet ever hurt as bad as mine do”
Yep…one more thing I know nothing about! Hahaha….
