I have always been fairly slender, but a while back, I realized that I was letting myself go. I was paying for a monthly gym membership that I never used and I found myself sitting on the couch more often then I should have been. One morning, I decided that I needed to step on the scale. When I did that, the number shocked me!
The only time I have EVER weighed over 130 was when I was pregnant with my kids. Before I go any further, I need to say that I am only 4’11″ and my “ideal weight” is no more than 119, so to see 130 was very depressing!
That was in March. It is now the end of June, and I stepped back on the scale yesterday and it was at 118. YAY!!! I thought I would show off my before and after pictures today. When I took the before picture, I was too embarrassed to show my face…not to mention that my bathroom is too small to get a full shot, but as you can see by the tattoo on my stomach and the belly piercing, it is the same person in both pictures.

Last night, I went over to my friend Tammie’s house to discuss some final details of her bridal shower. Neither one of us had eaten dinner, so when we were done, her finance took us out to dinner. They decided on a place called “Chopstix Asian Bistro”. I had never had sushi before and to be honest. I was a bit nervous. I was always taught to cook your food thoroughly…especially chicken and fish! However, I was also taught to eat what is put in front of you, so this put me in a weird situation! I decided that I couldn’t tell them I was not going to eat it, so I tried sushi for the first time! I was actually REALLY good! They ordered 3 different kinds and all three were wonderful! (And I didn’t get sick from them either)
So, always remember to try new things! If you don’t like it…don’t have it again, but you will never know unless you try!
Oh, by the way, I learned how to eat with chopsticks too! I felt uncoordinated at first, but I eventually got the hang of it!

For my birthday, which was June 1st, my husband bought me a new tattoo! I had been wanting a new one for quite some time, but I couldn’t decide what I wanted until now! I knew what design I wanted but I needed words to go on it and then I found the Bible verse 1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV. It worked perfect because it ended in the word “Love”. I also like the Amplified version which reads like this:
13 And so faith, hope, love abide [faith—conviction and belief respecting man’s relation to God and divine things; hope—joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love—true affection for God and man, growing out of God’s love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Isn’t that a great verse!
The picture above was taken just after it was finished, so my skin is still really red. It looks so much better in person!

Sometimes in life, we see things that simply shock us. We’ve all seen pictures of people crazy outfits or hairstyles and we can’t do anything but shake our heads and say “What are they thinking”! This has happened to me twice in one week!!!
On Sunday, I was driving down one of the busiest streets in my hometown and I saw a man dressed like “The Fonz” off of “Happy Days”! He was even walking like he was the hottest thing since toast! Then, this morning, I was driving down the same street on my way to work and saw a guy dressed up like “Batman”! I am NOT kidding!! Maybe it was the same guy and he is confused about his identity?!?!? Who Knows!

Shopping online is by far my favorite way to shop. There is no lines to wait in or people to compete with. I found a wonderful website to satisfy my shopping needs. It is Become.com. This site has so many things to choose from.
Whenever I go to the store to look for a bra, I see the standard red, white and black one. Become.com has Hannah Convertible Bras that are cotton lined on the inside cup. With a huge selection of colors and prints, you are sure to find one that fits your personal style!
Become.com also has stuff for the man in your life, like True Religion Vesper Jackets. Your man might just start sharing your love of online shopping when he sees this site!
Did I mention that they sell accessories too? Well, they do. I found some great bags, like the Cabella Convertible Tote Ellington! I’m definitely getting one for myself!
Become.com has so much more than what I mentioned. You’ve got to check them out! They are sure to make online shopping #1 in your book!

My favorite part of the week is the weekend! Who’s isn’t??
This weekend was probably the best in quite a while! For Administrative Professionals Day, I recieved a gift card to The FireRock, a local restaurant here in Wyoming. It’s not very often that my husband and I get to go on a date, so we decide that Saturday we would go. Our son spent the night at my parents house and our daughter was at work for most of the niight. We had a wonderful dinner and then decided to hang out with some friends. The taught us a new card game that turned out to be really fun!
Sunday was spent completely with my family (except our daughter, who again had to work) We made a homemade lasagna for dinner and watched TV together.
The best part about this weekend is that it went fairly slow, which is great considering that most weekends are so fast, you barely realize it happened! Hope everyone had a great weekend to! Back to the grind tomorrow for 5 days, then I get a 3 day weekend, followed by a 3 day week and ANOTHER 3 day weekend!

If your mother is a yogi, then you might want to focus on that passion when choosing Mothers Day gifts for her. Yoga is an art that gives your mom achieve a good balance and peace. Hence, any gift that she can use in her yoga exercises will highly be appreciated.
A mat is the very first thing that will come into your mind when you think of yoga. Yogis use mats when doing most of the yoga exercises. Candles are another great gift that you can give to your mom. Yoga is all about relaxation, and candles are used to do so. Posted in rain, storms on 05/16/2012 09:00 pm by Amy
It’s no secret to most people that I love storms. I would be thrilled if it rained everyday. This spring has not made me very happy though. We have had one rain storm so far this year and it was more of a quick drizzle. Today, I though for sure we would be getting some. It did sprinkle a little bit, but the big cloud that was hanging around over my house tonight isn’t cooperating. I had my son take a picture of it so I could post it on my blog. It really was cool! Maybe tomorrow, we will get some rain?!?!

Have you ever been on a vacation where everything that could go wrong went wrong? It happens a lot more than you think! It even happened to me during my family vacation last year. We went to Disney World which I was very excited about since I had not been there since I was very young. I really wanted to go to the new Animal Kingdom park since it was not open when we were there last. I have heard some great things about the dinosaur attraction! Our vacation got off to a rocky start unfortunately, to begin with our flight was delayed 6 hours because of a blizzard across the country that was backing up all of the airlines. Luckily our flight wasn’t canceled and we eventually made it to our destination. Once we got off the plane we had to go and get our rental car, this didn’t take long at all. The next hiccup in our trip was a small car accident, we were rear ended! There wasn’t much damage but we still had to wait for the police and go through all the insurance stuff. We got to the hotel and it was fantastic, the best part was it had 5 different pools, even a lazy river which is my favorite. The pool area had a pirate theme to it with water canons and slides. On the last day at the hotel my sister fell and chipped her tooth while playing near the pool. Trying to find a dentist while you are away on vacation is incredible difficult and it was a good thing that we had travelers insurance. My mother has always been big on insuring our trips every year even though nothing has ever happened. Most of the time before booking anything she will compare travel insurance with MoneySupermarket. It is impossible to predict what will happen in the future and there are many companies that will help to protect you from unforeseen circumstances that can arise when you are traveling.
